HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 5 (acn) The Cuban Camagua Folk Company, in its usual summer tour of Europe, concluded its presentations at festivals held in Arroyo de la Encomienda, a town of Valladolid in Spain, and in Pau, France.

Composed of musicians and dancers of Camagüey province, the group performed at the inaugural gala of the Valladolid Festival, which took place at the Plaza de Toros of Arroyo de la Encomienda, along with other guest troupes.

Camagua presented the show “Caribe Soy” with great reception from the public, according to a message sent by e-mail by the group’s director, the Radio Cadena Agramonte Web site reported.

The staging of the “Cuban Suite” included the pieces Por los Campos de mi Cuba and Homenaje. The dance group participated in the workshop “Baila con Nosotros,” held at Plaza de España, where participating groups showed their traditional dances.
For the closing ceremony, Camagua presented its “Cubanisimo” a show that recreates typical Cuban dances.
