Through the Delloro Program, ELAC is offering a study abroad opportunity to Cuba. This travel includes options for Summer Session I course credit. Learn about Cuban history and explore post-colonial literature in our classes before you go! Students who enroll in English 102 with Professor Raeanna Gleason, and/or History 5 with Professor Urrutia will have priority, but all students are welcome to sign up for the trip.
Immerse yourself in Cuban culture while you meet with local community members to explore artistic, cultural, educational, environmental, and historical aspects of the vibrant island!
This study abroad package includes round-trip airfare and transportation, accommodations, regional-style meals, end-to-end support, curriculum integration, full-time tour director, expert local guides, guided sightseeing, worldwide support, safety and security, and flexible payment options.

Meeting with students and faculty at the University of Havana and an art school

Participating in workshops on the social role of creative expression such as art, dance, and music
Speaking with villagers of a Taíno community about their efforts to share indigenous culture and traditions with younger generations
