Starwood Makes History in Cuba

With the recent opening of the Four Points Havana, Starwood is making history as the first U.S.-based hospitality company to open a hotel in Cuba in nearly 60 years. The hotel—a longtime Havana landmark—is one of three properties Starwood announced this spring as part of a groundbreaking deal to bring Starwood’s sophisticated, high-end brands to Cuba for group travel. This fall, following an extensive renovation, Havana’s renowned Hotel Inglaterra will join The Luxury Collection, and plans are in the works for Starwood to convert the famed Hotel Santa Isabel into a member of The Luxury Collection.
