Several leaders worldwide congratulate Cuba on National Culture Day

Havana, Oct 20 (Prensa Latina) Congratulatory messages from several countries, personalities and institutions were received on Tuesday by the Cuban people because of the National Culture Day.

On Twitter, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Craft Promotion of Equatorial Guinea Don Rufino Ndong Esono Ncham praised the commitment of Cuban health authorities on his message.

‘We know the broad and deep Cuban cultural movement that, in our way of understanding, is transversal and known all over the world and has generated an unprecedented development in manifestations such as dance, music and cinema,’ the minister noted.

The general director of the Institute of Image and Space Arts of Venezuela, Oscar Sotillo, offered the revolutionary embrace of the Bolivarian people, highlighting that country’s cultural collaboration with Cuba.

‘From the cultural trench, we wish Cubans a great congratulation on this date, which exalts the spirit of our nations, which have been working together for the development of the continent,’ Sotillo stressed.

Also from Caracas, the General Deputy President of the Cultural House of Venezuela, Jesus Trejo, extended the greeting to all the Cuban people for the Day of Culture.

‘For us, Cuba is a nation that accompanies us in this emancipatory dream, which has allowed us to recognize and rebuild our legacy,’ he pointed out.

From Mexico, the poet Agustin Labrada expressed, ‘I join the celebration; I proudly celebrate the artistic expressions and popular traditions that give relief to my country, an emblematic nation whose aesthetic expression is translated into love, passion and identity.’
