Russian tourism remains stable in Cuba

Havana, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) The arrival of Russian tourists to the north-central region of Cuba, to Jardines del Rey, remains stable despite the difficulties created by Covid-19, a press report said today.

The European electronic bulletin Good Travel to Cuba takes into account reports from local authorities published on Twitter, and adds that so far four weekly flights from that country to Jardines del Rey have been stabilized.

The note points out that the arrivals of Russian visitors to the tourist destination indicate the authorities’ cohesion in terms of operations and compliance with sanitary protocols to avoid the pandemic.

The place is a group of keys and islets in the north of the Cuban archipelago, and is one of the Caribbean’s tourist destinations par excellence, which can be accessed through an international airport or by crossing a modern causeway over the sea, they emphasize.

Its hotel infrastructure includes four-star and five-star facilities and offers several facilities for recreational boating and adventure tourism.

In the summer of 2020, Cuba reopened some of its destinations to international tourism. Since then, markets such as Russia and Canada implemented weekly flight frequencies to that scenario.
