Granma, Cuba, Jun 28 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel continued his visit here today with his participation in the flag ceremony at the Revolution Square in Bayamo and visits to centers of economic and social interest.
In the act, the Cuban President and authorities of the territory laid floral offerings to the heroes Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and Pedro (Perucho) Figueredo, according to the report of the national television.
Diaz-Canel was the representative of Granma delegation that will attend the 9th Congress of the University Student Federation (FEU) and visited the birthplace of the Father of the Homeland (Cespedes).
Accompanied by the Minister of Construction, Rene Mesa, and the authorities of the territory, the head of State went to a center of local production of materials for house construction in the municipality of Guisa.
After observing the progress of the program of building houses by own effort in a settlement, the governor praised the experience, but exhorted to work for the community urbanization.
Likewise, Diaz-Canel presided over a meeting with leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) of the territory in which several ministers of the country also participated.
In the same way, he inspected the results of economic programs and the execution of important investments for the development of that territory.
