Camagüey, 9 Jul.- More than 30 pedagogues of the project Wings of the Caribbean, of Puerto Rico, discussed with teachers from Camagüey about the Cuban educational system, its transformations and perspectives, as part of a haul to different provinces of the country.
Maria Gómez Huerta, at the head of the Puerto Rican delegation, said that during this visit they have appreciated the functioning of several schools, and the links with the family and the community, which led to satisfactory results in students formation, both academic and extracurricular.
In the meeting, proxies of the branch of the Cuban Teachers’ Association in Camagüey, together with the Puerto Rican professors, analyzed the work of the teachers, the variants of training, and the interest of the pupils towards the study of the degree courses of this profile, among others.
During the exchange carried out in the day school “Josué País García“, of Camagüey city, the delegation enjoyed cultural proposals with a high sense of Cuban traditions, starred by art instructors and students of this institution, which is a center of national reference.
The education in Camagüey and Puerto Rico, and the rights of the children were some of the main topics that the pedagogues discussed as part of this haul around Cuban provinces such as Cienfuegos, Santiago de Cuba, Santa Clara and Havana. (Darycel Martínez Esteban/ Radio Cadena Agramonte)
