Orthopedics International Congress Enters 2nd Day of Activities

Varadero, Cuba, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Science videos including a master lecture about external fixators, were discussed today during the second day of the 28th Orthopedics and Traumatology International Congress, and 1st Cuban Congress of External Fixation.

The main conference was given by outstanding Cuban professor Rodrigo Álvarez Cambra, whose initials RALCA, appear on those instruments made at the Frank País International Orthopedic Complex.

A total of 10 videos will be showed, portraying surgical treatments and corrections, as well as osteosynthesis technique for fractures at the top of the femur.

It is also scheduled to start the presentation of traditional and digital posters, while the academic agenda includes discussions of about 30 works in three different commissions.

The congress will last until October 1st, and its events will take place at the Plaza de las Americas Convention Center in Varadero, about 140km northeast of Havana.

Preliminary data provided by the organizing committee stresses the presence of about 300 experts, including almost a hundred from Mexico, United States, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Bolivia, China, Spain, Sweden, Peru, Japan, France, Switzerland , among others.

This 27th edition was inaugurated yesterday and on September 26th, the pre-Congress Cuba-United States symposium was also held at the Convention Center coordinated by Cuban professor Álvarez Cambra and U.S. professors William Stetson and John Feagin.
