Old Coffee Plantation Gets Remodeling in Santiago de Cuba

Santiago de Cuba, Nov 9 (Prensa Latina) Cuban hacienda ”Fraternidad” (Fraternity)coffee plantation, center of cultural project Los Caminos del Cafe is continuing its remolding, in the middle of complex construction works to improve its splendor, and is opening its the doors of this famous archaeologic park in the eastern of Cuba.

Yaumara Lopez, director of the remodeling project sponsored by the Office of Conservation of the City of Santiago de Cuba (OCC), French-Belgian foundation MALONGO and the European Union, told Prensa Latina that some of the works are hard to do, since Fraternidad plantation is a house with intresting structural framework in wood, with pieces of big size, with specific characteristics, and replacements in places where it is really needed, close to the Santa Maria del Loreto Hill, with extraordinary natural values, inserted in the old French coffee plantations in Santiago de Cuba, now a World heritage place.

Located between the province of Santiago de Cuba, and that of Guantanamo, there are 171 ancient agricultural centers included as World Heritage.
