Ottawa, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) Air Canada is expanding its tourist operations in Cuba with an additional flight from Toronto to Cayo Coco, as a safe destination, Cuban Ambassador Josefina Vidal said.
On her Twitter account, the diplomat shared the opinions by Lessner Gomez, director of Cuba Tourist Board in Toronto, who highlighted Cuba’s advantages and safety for travelers.
On Saturday, more Canadian visitors from Toronto arrived in Cayo Coco, in central-northern Cuba, on the new Air Canada flight to the Caribbean island’s tourist resorts.
Since early September, the airline has operated regular flights to that Cuban destination.
Air Canada’s first flight from Toronto took place on Saturday, because the previous flights came from Montreal, Gaviota Tours group posted on Facebook.
Canada has stood out for years among Cuba’s major tourist-sending market.
