Havana, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) The third edition of the Mozart Havana Festival will close today with an exquisite concert program at the Marti Theater in this capital, after nearly a week of performances in several stages in the Cuban capital.
The gala, which is scheduled to start at 20:30 hours, local time, includes Mozart’s Concerto 23 in A Major by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Higher Arts Institute (ISA), attached to the Mozart Lyceum and conducted by Maestro José Antonio Méndez.
Another piece will be the emblematic Appalaching Spring, by Aaron Copland, and Manisero (Peanut Vendor), by Moises Simons. The soloist will be the U.S. pianist Simone Dinnerstein.
The closing gala will also be an opportunity to launch the CD Mozart in Havana.
