Mexico, Oct 24 (Prensa Latina) Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Thursday described the neoliberal economic model as a failure, following protests in several Latin American nations.
The president of Mexico told the press that it is time to change the economic model that has been imposed for decades on the peoples of Latin America and the world.
During his speech, Lopez Obrador highlighted that in Ecuador the increase in the price of fuels was reversed and in Chile, the increase in the subway tariff.
‘It would be reckless to sustain these measures with blood and fire,’ said the governor in his usual morning conference.
He also said that ‘international financial organizations should help, cooperate and not be imposing, forcing governments to implement such anti-grass roots policies.
