Lebanon and Cuba explore cooperation in the health sector

Beirut, March 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Pellicer explored on Wednesday with Lebanon’s Minister of Health Hamad Hassan the possibility of establishing cooperation mechanisms in the production of medicines.

The meeting was conducive to offer details of the effectiveness in the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus in patients in China, Pellicer indicated exclusively to Prensa Latina.

Both officials also referred to feasible exchanges of experiences among professionals.

Pellicer spoke about the health system and the high development Cuba achieved in the biotechnology and vaccine production sector.

Hamad recognized those Cuban achievements and praised his solidarity work with developing countries, including the training of doctors, a group of which are Lebanese.

Likewise, he agreed on the interest in establishing collaboration mechanisms that are beneficial for both countries.
