Havana, Dec 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Cinematheque will today inaugurate a cinema show dedicated to the centenary of the American actor Kirk Douglas.
The Charlot hall of the Charles Chaplin Cinema in this capital will screen films such as the Captive of Evil (1952), The Story of Three Loves (1953), Ulysses (1954), Twenty Thousand Leagues Underwater (1954), among others until January 14th.
Douglas stood out for playing each character with a strong temperament and vulnerability that humanized the roughest of men.
The three-times Oscar nominated actor, never recieved the prize. However, in 1996 he received an honorary Oscar for his 50 years of dedication to the film industry.
The actor and producer turned 100 on December 9th, surrounded by family members, including his son Michael Douglas, also an American actor.
