Havana, Oct 21 (Prensa Latina) Peace Boat, a Japanese project that promotes nuclear disarmament and the environmental sustainability of the planet, anchored today on the docks of the Cuban port of Havana on its 95th global voyage.
The ship, coming from the US, departed on August 13 from Japan and for three and a half months will land in 19 countries, among them already docked on the island of Crete in Greece, Bordeaux in the south of France and in New York .
The Peace Boat develops its main activities through educational trips for peace aboard a large passenger ship.
The boat, 205 meters long and 35,000 tons, comes to the Caribbean island for the seventeenth time.
At the end of his brief stopover in Cuba, it will head to the port of Cancun, Mexico, and will continue its journey to Panama, Nicaragua, Honolulu and Hawaii (USA), ending at the starting spot, Japan, on November 25.
