Havana Hosts 9th International Design Congress

Havana, Jun 7 (Prensa Latina) The 9th International Design Congress, Forma 2017, begins here today with the participation of professionals from more than 20 nations focused on reviewing the most up-to-date theories about the activity.

The event will seek until June 9th at the Conference Center in this capital to generate dialogue through collateral exhibitions, workshops, symposiums, panels of experts and special presentations.

Specialists from Mexico and Colombia are participating for Latin American, they doubled the number of participants with respect to the previous edition; Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Panama, Peru and Paraguay, are attending for the first time.

Representatives from Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey are also present, the latter is also debuting in this event.

Become one of the most prestigious events in the region, this edition will be especially dedicated to find new ideas adapted to today’s reality in a conscious way, with a vision of science, depending on development, the members of the organizing committee said.

The theoretical program includes two meetings, one of them, of high relevance according to the organizers, focused on the training of professionals in this specialty, communication and the arts.

The congress is organized by the Cuban Higher Institute of Design, the Cuban Cultural Property Fund, the National Office of Industrial Design and the Office of the City Historian.
