Haimark Line said it plans to offer trips to Cuba this winter on its coastal cruiser Saint Laurent, pending government approval.

It said the 200-passenger ship plans a nine-night itinerary roundtrip from Miami that will circumnavigate Cuba and offer seven ports, including two nights in Havana.

Tom Markwell, managing partner of Haimark, said the cruise will visit five of Cuba’s seven UNESCO world heritage sites.

The trips will be operated in conjunction with Florida-based United Caribbean Lines, headed by longtime cruise industry executive Bruce Nierenberg.

Nierenberg said the shallow draft coastal cruiser is especially suited to exploring the island’s many harbors.

“The Saint Laurent will be able to reach additional regions of Cuba and increase the People-to-People connection of the American public with the people of Cuba throughout the island,” Nierenberg said.

Haimark plans to offer 15 voyages starting Feb. 16. All-inclusive pricing starts at $4,599 per person, plus taxes and port charges.
