Beijing, May 12 (Prensa Latina) Guangxi Fukang Medical Investment and Management Co Ltd informed on Tuesday that it has ready a batch of medical supplies to donate it to Cuba to fight against the novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Huang Liansheng, chairman of Guangxi Fukang Medical Investment Management Co., Ltd, informed Cuban Ambassador to China Carlos Miguel Pereira that the shipment consists of more than 7,000 diagnostic kits, 40,000 facemasks and 1,000 protective suits.
Huang also mentioned his willingness to prepare a second and a third shipment with more health supplies.
For his part, Pereira expressed gratitude to Huang for his company’s contribution to Cuba, when he updated the host on the situation of the pandemic in the Caribbean nation and the efforts underway to contain it.
The diplomat mentioned that in the context of the fight to curb the deadly pneumonia, new medicines applied in Cuba have showed promising results and had an effectiveness range of between 80% and more than 90% of the cases.
Guangxi Fukang Medical Investment Management Co., Ltd has signed agreements with the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Group, Biocubafarma, for the development, production and marketing of medicines produced in the island, of proven efficacy and recognition globally.
