Athens, Nov 28 (Prensa Latina) Greece and Cuba on Wednesday shared information on their respective situations and reaffirmed their ties of friendship, as well as the possibilities of collaboration in several fields.
The Cuban Friendship Parliamentary Group in the Greek Parliament received a delegation from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), headed by Juan Carlos Marsan, deputy director of the International Relations Department of the PCC Central Committee.
Greece was represented by parliamentarians from the ruling Syriza party and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), headed by the president of the group Nykolaos Syrmalenios.
The Cuban delegation also included Belkys Lay, an official from the PCC Central Committee; and Cuban Ambassador to Greece Maria Dominguez Cortina.
The visitors also held bilateral meetings with representatives of the KKE and Syriza in their respective headquarters, as well as with the director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Greek Foreign Ministry, Dimitris Zoitos, at the venue of the Ministry.
Marsan and the accompanying delegation participated in the 20th International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties, held in Athens from November 22 to 25 under the auspices of the KKE to celebrate the party’s 100th anniversary.
