Havana, Jan 10 (Prensa Latina) Cuban singer-songwriter Kelvis Ochoa will be an atraction on Thursday in a six-handed menu during the last day of the 1st Academic Workshop ”Gastrocult 2019”.
Accompanied by chefs invited to the meeting, Ochoa will also demonstrate his culinary skills before an audience that brings together specialists from five countries in the newly opened Packard Hotel in Havana.
The program will start with a cooking master class by Cuban chef Luis Ramon Batlle, followed by a master pastry class taught by Mexican chef Alberto Rios, from the Spanish hotel chain Iberostar.
Miguel Torres, general manager of Bodegas Torres, from Spain, will give a keynote speech in the afternoon on environment and climate change. Following Spanish wines and Cuban cheeses will be combined.
The official call to ‘Gastrocult 2020’ will be announced at the end of the event, in which Italy will be the guest of honor.
During three intense working days, the meeting facilitated the exchange of experiences and knowledge through keynote speeches, cooking shows, tastings and presentations of specialized literature by ArteChef publishing house.
This first edition of the academic workshop ‘Gastrocult 2019’, organized by the Paradiso Cultural Tourism Agency, had support of the Federation of Culinary Associations of Cuba and under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Iberostar chain, Excelencias group and Bodegas Torres.
