Paris, Mar 22 (Prensa Latina) French solidarity and Cuban residents are preparing actions in this country to demand on March 27 the end of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, as part of the global caravan against that policy.
Prensa Latina spoke with Fabrice Leclerc, a member of France Cuba Association, and Ana Katherine Martinez, a member of the National Coordinating Committee of Cuban Residents in France, who announced that the initiative includes rallies, an exhibition and messages on social media.
According to Leclerc, the French association founded almost six decades ago outlines mobilizations in several cities, as of the call launched in late February by the Europe for Cuba channel to carry out on March 27 and 28 global days to reject the siege imposed by Washington, which include caravans of cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
We foresee rallies in Paris, Lille, Toulouse and Dijon in which a statement against the blockade will be read, while in several cities, we wait for small meetings, activities that will be filmed for their dissemination, he specified.
France has been facing a deterioration in the epidemiological situation in recent weeks due to the progress of the mutations of the virus that causes Covid-19, present in three out of four confirmed cases, for which the Government has imposed new restrictions on 16 departments since Saturday, measures that could be extended to others.
Europe for Cuba calls for mobilizations on March 27 in Asia, Oceania, Africa, South America and Europe, while the March 28 rallies will correspond to North and Central America, with caravans, demonstrations, marches and mountain climbing, among the activities.
