French association calls for Nobel Peace Prize for Cuban doctors

Paris, Jul 21 (Prensa Latina) France’s Cuba Linda Association on Tuesday called on web surfers to use social networks on July 26, the Day of National Rebelliousness in Cuba, to demand the Nobel Peace Prize for the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade.

Let’s turn the Day of Rebelliousness in Cuba into the day of solidarity with the Caribbean island in the entire world, the association, founded in 1998, said in its call, which promotes a platform launched in late April to acknowledge the work of Cuban physicians with the Nobel Peace Prize, an initiative supported by nearly 200 organizations in 25 countries.

In that regard, Cuba Linda urged to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social networks to post images and videos requesting the Prize for the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, which has saved millions of lives in all five continents over the past 15 years.

From France and many other countries, political and solidarity organizations, trade unions and outstanding figures defend the Nobel Peace Prize for the Cuban health professionals, who have written a new page of humanism by supporting the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in dozens of countries.

It is the world clamor, impossible to stop, despite the US actions to denigrate Cuba’s medical cooperation and Washington’s pressure on governments to prevent them from requesting Cuba’s assistance, Rose-Marie Lou, who is in charge of politics in Cuba Linda, told Prensa Latina.

The association urged web surfers to upload photos with the international campaign’s logo in favor of the Nobel Peace Prize for the Henry Reeve Brigade.
