HAVANA, July 3 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — To share values of the Andean and Amazon cultures of Peru comes out today as the main pretext of the thematic week of Peruvian culture in Havana, from July 7 to 15.
Organized by the diplomatic mission and with the collaboration of the Cuban Ministry of Culture and other local institutions, the event will pass to exhibitions, concerts gastronomic forums, literary meetings.
According to the Peruvian Ambassador in this Caribbean island, Guido Toro, this nation has much to offer in cultural terms, especially, from the perspective of the crossbreeding.
In a press conference, Toro emphasized he felt pleased with the organization of the fourth edition, for which he expects this edition turns into a modality in the complex Cuban cultural framework, especially in Havana.
He emphasizes the events of this week, the exhibition of contemporary silverware of the collection of the Plata de Peru Patronage, that it will assemble 71 pieces, 41 of Peruvian goldsmiths rewarded in the national contest.
The Carmen Motilla Gallery, – located in the Historical Center – will receive the inaugural, individual sample of artist Silva Pestana conceived as a tribute to Amazonía Peruana.
The organizers also propose a pictorial sample by Borka Sattler; a selection of twelve linens grouped in the series called Mujeres (Women).
Also in the Cuban capital musicians from a group called Rondana Piruana will travel the same way, for a special presentation in the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana).
Peruvian, Cuban and American academicians will take part in literary days that will be in turn a homage to the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and to César Vallejo.
