Buenos Aires, Nov 28 (Prensa Latina) Fidel Castro has showed us the way and now we have to continue it, Juan Martin Guevara, brother of Argentine-Cuban guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara, has told Prensa Latina.
Visibly moved by the death of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Che’s youngest brother pointed out that what Fidel would not have wanted us to be sad today for his death. ‘He has done everything he had to do for us and now it is our turn to follow his way, this is what he would have wanted and that is what has moved me,’ he said.
Guevara has many memories of Fidel and the most special in was from 1959 when Fidel arrived in Argentina for the first time when Guevara was just a child.
Guevara was one of the first to arrive at the Cuban embassy in Buenos Aires to give his last respects to the Commander-in-Chief in the book of condolences.
Dozens of Argentines streamed to the island’s embassy early today, with flowers, letters and messages to thank the leader, the humanist, the revolutionary, the man in solidarity with the people of the world.
