Expectation for International Tourism Fair in Cuba Grows

Havana, May 1 (Prensa Latina) Professionals from the world recreational sector have expressed today their interest in the largest tourist market of this country scheduled for next week, and in turn, is the most important event of the Caribbean. Tour-operators, travel agents and specialized journalists will attend on May 5-7 to a meeting that has currently strong piles regarding negotiations.

The 35th International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2015, which will begin next week, in addition of serving as a business core, is a way to expand horizons to this nation.

With the new foreign investment, tourism has an incentive after closing with more than three million international visitors and a good winter season (November-April).

Authorities of the sector stated that those three million tourists represented a growth of about 5.3 percent compared with 2013, and so a record figure of arrivals of travelers. The main tourist markets towards this country are Canada, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Italy, although others already take flight, as in case of Venezuela, Mexico and Chile.

This is the setting for FITCuba, in Jardines del Rey resort (center-north), a destination with more than 20 years of development, which is renewing its products.

The fair has this scene as destination, and is dedicated to a country as Italy and sailing. Representatives from 40 nations will attend the fair.
