Havana, Mar 29 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday highlighted the Cuban youth’s commitment to defending the Revolution, expressed in the mobilizations carried out on Sunday against the United States blockade.
The #CubaVsBloqueo caravan showed the vitality and energy of Cuban youths. Let no one doubt, that is #CubaViva #SomosCuba #SomosContinuidad, the president posted on his Twitter account.
Diaz-Canel also noted that such demonstrations renew energies to work on crucial tasks in the country such as the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and the Monetary Overhaul Task, and announced government visits to science-leading institutions.
On Sunday, thousands of Cubans, mostly young people, paraded along Havana’s Malecon (seafront) to support Cuba and the international solidarity campaign against the US blockade, held in some 50 cities in the United States, Canada and other countries.
Groups of emigrants and friends of Cuba in Russia, Italy, France, Germany, Namibia, Gambia, Angola, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, among 30 other nations, carried out mobilizations, online publications and actions against the US blockade since Saturday.
Solidarity was expressed on social media with the hatchtags #NoMasBloqueo, #JuntosXCuba, #PuentesDeAMor, #PorLaFamilia, #SomosUno and #CubaVsBloqueo.
