Las Tunas, Cuba.- A national meeting with representatives of Cuban scientific entities is being held at Covarrubias resort, on the north coast of Las Tunas.
About 200 researchers dialogue about the main scenarios in which the research activity is developed in the country and its relationship with production.
The meeting, organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma), proposes the exchange on the current state of the scientific-productive poles constituted in the country and proposals for its updating. Likewise, the program includes the analysis of the demands on the science system and the financing scheme for this activity.
From the Directorate of Communication of the Provincial Delegation of Citma, executives told 26digital that among the work priorities for the next five years are food production, confrontation with climate change, computerization of society, introduction of renewable sources of energy, rational use of water, population dynamics and biotechnology.
