Cuba’s Hotel Nacional Turns 86 with Highest Revenues Ever

Havana, Jan 1(Prensa Latina) Emblematic Hotel Nacional of Cuba arrived the year that ended to its 86th birthday with the best economic results and the permanent objective of assuring a specialized attention to visitors.

In the last 12 months, it obtained revenues for 33 million convertible pesos, exceeding in three million its plan, informed to the Cuban News Agency, Yamila Fuster, representative of Public Relations of the hotel.

The favorable yearly income responds, among other causes, to the quality management, which is constantly improved in order to offer an ever better service, she stressed.

This year Cuba registered the record figure of four million visitors from abroad, informed Saturday the Ministry of Tourism.

Fuster said the Hotel already offers Internet service in all its areas, both in gastronomic spaces and its 439 rooms.

Among the novelties to be included in 2017, is the reopening of the space El Mirador, closed several years ago and now it is intended to be a space that connects tourists with the history of the hotel in its 86 years, and also with that of Havana, she added.

Due to the fact that airlines from different countries open new routes to the Cuban capital, the site diversifies its markets, when receiving Turkish, French, Italians, Argentineans, Mexicans, Colombians and Brazilians, among others.

The specialist in Public Relations pointed that the facility is an important receptor of U.S. citizens that arrive to the island through the 12 categories authorized by the administration of President Barack Obama.

A significant achievementduring this year was once more to be recognized as the best hotel in the greater of the Antilles in the 26th edition of the World Travel Awards, considered the Oscar of the tourist industry.

The magnificence of the facility, through all these years, has trapped hundreds of celebri9ties of the arts, the sciences and politics.
