Buenos Aires, Mar 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s achievements in education and how it has extended its multiple projects in this sector to the world stand out Friday at the UN High Level Conference on South-South Cooperation.
Through programs such as the Yo si puedo, with which over 10 million people learned to read and write in several continents, or pedagogical works in other modalities are several of the best practices of Cuba in favor of international cooperation.
Cuba has had collaborations in the world both in the institutional modality and in social and care work, the Director of Early Childhood of the Ministry of Education of Cuba, Maria de los Angeles Gallo, told Prensa Latina.
One of the several projects, she expressed, is the one referred to Educate your Child, an educational care program with 10 years of research been applied successfully in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia through UNICEF. The specialist highlighted this kind of event as the Conference on South-South Cooperation is very important because it allows to socialize how a small country besieged for over 60 years and with all an economic, financial and international blockade imposed by the US, has been able to do for the cooperation and welfare of the people.
