Santa Clara, Cuba, Oct 7 (Prensa Latina) The people of central Cuban province of Santa Clara is paying tribute today to the memory of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, fell n combat on October 8, 1968 in Bolivian lands.
Activities begin today with a walk by university students under the name of “Por la Ruta del Che,” which will tour important during the attack of that city in 1958 by the troop led by the disappeared commander, Granma newspaper stated.
As occurs every year, young people from Villa Clara will star in tomorrow the change of flowers at the Mausoleum that holds his remains, and the 40th anniversary of the Ciudad Escolar school complex named after the outstanding fighter, will be held.
Later, the national act where hundreds of children will receive their blue scarves in a ceremony replicated in all primary schools of the country.
Similarly, the corresponding cards to new members of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban Young Communist League will be given in solemn ceremony, during which the revolutionary thought of Commander Guevara will be remembered.
