Cubans Living in U.S. Hold their Fourth Meeting

Washington, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) The 4th Meeting of Cuban Residents in the United States in Defense of National Sovereignty and against the Blockade will be held here today, as a space to defend the causes of the Caribbean island.

According to the program of the event, two U.S. congressmen from the Capitol’s Working Group on Cuba are expected to speak on bills that favor normal bilateral ties.

The agenda also includes a presentation by Eusebio Leal, the historian of Havana, on the role of Cuban emigration in the struggles of his country for independence.

Likewise, Cuban Consul General in Washington Alejandro Padrón and Consulate official Alejandro Romero will present details of the current immigration policy and the services of that entity, mainly the general procedures with passports.

The closing session of the meeting, taking place in a university, will be attended by senior officials of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

More than 100 participants have confirmed their attendance at the meeting, Padrón stated during an interview with Prensa Latina.
