Cubans, Bolivians Offer Free Care at Health Fair

La Paz, Sep 3 (Prensa Latina) Specialists from the Cuban Medical Brigade in Bolivia and professionals from the sector of this country offer free care at the Health Fair of Nueva Esperanza, which ends today in the department of Pando.

From this Saturday, experts in 13 branches of medicine bring their services to people of limited resources in this area of ​​the Bolivian Amazon, crossed by innumerable rivers.

Hundreds of consultations have so far been provided by 22 Cuban collaborators and Bolivian colleagues from different programs of the Ministry of Health, told Prensa Latina the organizers of the seventh fair.

Respiratory and skin conditions excel among the most frequent pathologies, while the specialties of Ophthalmology, Pediatrics and Gynecology are the most demanded by the inhabitants.

In recent remarks to the press, the Deputy Minister of Health and Promotion, Alvaro Terrazas, referred to the right of all Bolivians to access quality medical care.

The Cuban Medical Brigade in Bolivia helps us jump the commercial exploitation gap and break with the profit paradigm, assured Terrazas, highlighting the impact of events of this type, promoted by President Evo Morales.
