Cuban President to Young People: Get Ready for Tough Challenges

Havana, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) President Raul Castro has urged junior high school students to prepare for new and complex challenges ahead and called on them to continue the work of the Revolution, Granma newspaper states today.

In a message read yesterday at the closing ceremony of the National Assembly of the Federation of Middle School Students (FEEM), held at the Cojimar Conference Center, Raul Castro stressed that ‘this is the best tribute you can do to Fidel and Che, to whom this assembly was dedicated.’

In his congratulatory message, the Cuban Head of State says that this students’ meeting, the culmination of a fruitful process that began in May, injects energy and renews faith in the future of the Homeland.

About 350 delegates and guests attended the FEEM National Assembly. They dedicated the final plenary session to reflect on the responsibility of the students organization in the integral training of the new generations, Granma underlines.
