Havana, Jul 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday ratified in a message Cuba’s willingness to support Mexico in solidarity.
In response to a message from Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Diaz-Canel said that Cuba will always be ready for whatever Mexico needs.
The Cuban leader evoked some words from Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, who wrote in one of his simple verses in the 19th century: “the stream of the Sierra, pleases me more than the sea.”
On his Twitter account, Lopez Obrador thanked the Cuban people and Government for their support in sending medical brigades to strengthen health care in socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
The Mexican president informed that he had finished a three-day tour of Nayarit, where medical coverage is nearly 100 percent, and added that this will be the case throughout the country.
