Cuban president highlights arrivals of Iranian tankers in Venezuela

Havana, May 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Sunday highlighted the arrival of the first of five Iranian tankers laden with fuel in Venezuela, a country that is going through a gasoline shortage due to the coercive measures imposed by the United States.

The Cuban head of State noted on his Twitter account that this action breaks the ‘unacceptable and criminal’ blockade imposed by the United States on Venezuela.

‘#LongLiveSolidarity among peoples,’ the president twitted.

On Sunday, the oil tanker Fortune, from Iran, is bound for the El Palito refinery, in the state of Carabobo, after entering Venezuelan jurisdictional waters without any mishaps, according to official reports.
