Cuban president condemns US interference

Havana, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel condemned this Wednesday the interfering actions promoted by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, which he considered to violate International Law.

On Twitter, the president rejected Pompeo’s instigation of US Embassy personnel in Havana to intervene in Cuba’s internal affairs.

In this regard, Diaz-Canel stressed that Cuba will not renounce its sovereignty and independence, in spite of Washington’s hostile acts, including its policy of blockade against Cuba.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, also on Twitter, denounced the conduct of US Charge d’Affaires Mara Tekach, who is bent on recruiting mercenaries to attack the Revolution. Cuban authorities recently accused Washington of promoting a slander campaign surrounding the arrest of counterrevolutionary Jose Daniel Ferrer, with a record of illegal activity.

The Foreign minister described the actions of the US diplomatic mission, endorsed by Pompeo, as illegal, and affirmed that these activities go against Cuban constitutional order.
