Cuban Parliament Commissions Open Working Sessions

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 16 (acn) Cuban lawmakers are gathering in working commissions on Tuesday to consider crucial issues for the country, including the performance of Cuban economy in 2014 and a draft economic plan for next year, as part of the 4th Session of the Parliament´s 8th Legislature, whose plenary session will take place on Friday.

The parliamentarians will also debate the state budget performance this year and the draft bill for the 2015 budget as well as the ongoing implementation of the new Foreign Investment Law and the Labor Code.

The commissions will assess the results of control actions in the second half of the year and resolutions about confiscation actions related to corruption, drugs and other illegal activity.

The program also includes the consideration of opinions by the population during the most recent meetings of voters in their respective electoral districts, and other issues related to different services offered to the people.

The president of the National Assembly of People´s Power or Parliament, Esteban Lazo, called the 4th Session of the 8th Legislator for Friday December 19.
