Cuban Foreign Minister Meets with Visiting US Congress People

f0027577[1]Havana, Cuba, Jan 20.- Cuban Foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez met on Monday with a group of US Congress people who visited the island over the weekend.

The visitors included senators Patrick Leahy (Ver­mont), Ri­chard Durbin (Illi­nois), Shel­don Whitehouse (Rho­de Island) and Debbie Sta­benow (Mi­chigan), and representatives Chris­to­pher van Hollen (Maryland) and Peter Welch (Vermont), all democrats, Granma newspaper reported.

The meeting, in which the parties addressed issues of bilateral interest, was also attended by the general director of the United States Division at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Josefina Vidal, and by the head of the Cuban Interest Section in Washington, Jose Ramon Cabañas. (ACN)
