Havana, Feb 6 (Prensa Latina) The first session of the Joint Commission for Collaboration between Cuba and the Euro-Asian Economic Commission (EEC) was inaugurated in this capital on Wednesday.
The event opened after a meeting between the Cuban minister for Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, and the Commission’s minister for Integration and Macroeconomics, Tatiana Valovaya, Cuban government sources said on Twitter.
The Chamber of Commerce of Cuba said on Tuesday that the business forum will take place today in order to expand and diversify trade between the two sides.
The chairman of the EEC Board of Directors, Tigran Sargsyan, is heading the foreign delegation to the meeting, which is taking place at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
The business forum is part of the working program that the delegation is undertaking in Havana until February 8 to hold the first session of the Joint Commission for Collaboration between the Cuban government and the EEC, the information added.
