HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 30 (acn) The Cuban duo of Jose Antonio Guerra and Jeinkler Aguirre will continue participation through the World Diving Series, when taking part tomorrow at the fourth stop of the circuit, which will be hosted by London, Great Britain, until next Sunday.
The Cuban divers will arrive at the European nation after achieving a creditable fourth seat in the preceding stage, held in the Russian city of Kazan, where they scored 426.30 units, reflects the official website of the contest.For this occasion, Guerra and Aguirre will again have the same opponents of last week, along with the incorporation of the local pair of James Denny and Matthew Lee who complete a list of eight contenders.
The favorite pairs for this contest are the hitherto undefeated Chinese Aisen Chen and Lin Yue, leaders of the ranking of the event with 81 units; Mexicans Ivan Garcia and German Sanchez (2nd/69) and Germans Sascha Klein and Patrick Hausding (3rd/66), among others.
The Cubans appear fourth in that list with 48 points, ahead of Canada (5/42), Colombia (6/39), US (7/18) and Russia (8/15), but could reduce the difference to third place, according to the upward progression they have shown during their last performances.
After this participation, the Caribbean duo will travel to Windsor, Canada, to participate on May 22 to 24 in the fifth and penultimate stop of the series, also useful for their preparation towards the World Cup in Kazan (Russia) and the Pan American Games in Toronto, in the northern country, agreed both for the month of July.
