Pretoria, Nov 20 (Prensa Latina) Representatives of Cuba and the South African province of Free State held exchanges on the island”s collaboration in human settlements and the possibility of extending it to the public works sector.
The delegation headed by the Hero of Cuba Antonio Guerrero, vice president of the Superior Organization of Entrepreneurial Management (OSDE) of Construction Design and Engineering of Cuba, met with the Prime Minister of the Free State, Ace Magashule.
Accompanied by Rubí Despaigne, president of the Union of Caribbean Companies (UNECA), the delegation also spoke with senior officials of the Executive Committee of that provincial government and with those responsible for the Department of Labor.
Official sources informed Prensa Latina that during their visit to that province, located 374 kilometers south of this capital, Cubans placed floral offerings before the statues of the historic leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro, the anti-apartheid leader Oliver Tambo, whose centenary is celebrated this year, and that of Nelson Mandela, the first post-apartheid president of South Africa.
Yesterday, Guerrero and RubÃ¬ met with Cuban collaborators who provide services in the Free State, who received an explanation from the Hero of the Republic of Cuba about the structure of the business activity of the Ministry of Construction of their country.
Tomorrow, upon his return to Pretoria, Guerrero and Rubí will hold meetings with leaders from this province of Gauteng that include meetings with the Prime Minister, David Makhura, and others with officials from Human Settlements and Public Works.
