Cuban biotechnological products arouse great interest in Kazakhstan

Almaty, Kazakhstan, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuban biotechnological products are currently arousing great interest in Kazakhstan due to the intense action being developed by the delegation representing the BioCubaFarma Business Group and the Center of Molecular Immunology, currently undertaking a working visit to this country.

The program began in the academic and medical field with a keynote speech given at the Almaty Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology, by scientist Mayra Ramos Suzarte, head of the Clinical Trials Department at the Center of Molecular Immunology.

Ramos spoke about cancer immunotherapy and the promising results, in terms of effectiveness and safety, of Nimotuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody, and therapeutic vaccine Cimavax, both registered in Kazakhstan.

Other results and opportunities for cooperation with BioCubaFarma and the Cuban Medical Services Trading Company were also shown, aspects addressed by scientist Idania Caballero Torres, Head of the BioCubaFarma Office for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Consul Lidice Perez de Cardenas, BioCubaFarma representative in Russia Adolfo Castillo, and Giselle Velazquez, commercial manager of said institution for the territory of Kazakhstan, were present at the event.
