Cuban and US Artists Paint Second Mural in Cuba

Cienfuegos, Cuba, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuban and US artists, sponsor by the organization US-Cuba Artist Exchange, exhibit today in this city the second mural painted in Cuba this year.

Ryan Mariesa, leader of the non-profit project founded in April 2012, told the Prensa Latina news agency that they are currently performing the third tour across Cuba, to be concluded this week in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba with video and music exhibitions.

The mural painted in Cienfuegos, 250 kilometers southeast of Havana, is placed on the facade of professional photographer Omar Valenti’s house, while the first one on Nelson Valdes’ house, both members of the organization.

As part of the small US delegation in Cuba, is filmmaker Paul Irmiter who is finishing the documentary “Closer than you think”, an audiovisual recording the artistic exchange between the two countries.

The documentary, which would be premiered next spring in Minneapolis, Minnesota, headquarters of the organization, will be exhibited in Cuba in 2015.
