Cuban Actors to Perform in Atypical Play by Bertolt Brecht

Havana, Jan 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuban actors Michaelis Cue and Carlos Padron will perform in Dialogos de fugitivos (Refugee Conversations), atypical play by German playwright Bertolt Brecht, which will premiere next Saturday, announced today the organizers. The Sala Adolfo Llaurado in Havana will host the presentation of the play written in 1940 during the stay of the author in Finland and the United States.

According to Michaelis Cue, who is also directing the play, the text is witty, and in a subtle way, with humor and irony, appeals to the intelligence of the viewers.

After its premiere, the public will enjoy Dialogos de fugitivos throughout January in the Sala Adolfo Llaurado, cultural center named after one of the most important actors of the Cuban scene.

Considered one of the most influential writers of the 20th century, Brecht was the creator of the epic theater, and advocated for politically commited plays which represent social issues.
