Havana, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) The 12th National Verification on Internal Control will be carried out during 30 working days, from November 1 to December 12, and more than 2,000 auditors are expected to participate, it was reported here today.
According to Gladys Bejerano, the comptroller general of the Republic of Cuba, the objective is to assess the implementation of the Internal Control System, in compliance with the policy and regulations approved for prioritized objectives linked to the Economic and Social Policy Guidelines for 2016-2021, and the Working Objectives of its first National Conference.
That verification includes planning phases, execution and information to the Directive Board and the workers in each of the controlled entities. The Inspection of the Comptroller’s Office and the Special Verification will be the control actions used, Bejerano said.
The verification will also involve more than 1,000 university students from different specialties, including professors and 17 experts from the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA).
Deputy Comptroller General Alina Vicente explained that about 361 control actions will be carried out, 339 of which are inspections by the comptroller’s office, 22 special verifications, 21 of them to the National Office of Statistics and Information on the territories.
Among the priorities in the verification are those related to the agricultural-food sphere, fuel and other key economic sectors.
