Cuba stays undefeated after a victory over St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Cuba dominated the second half of their game against St. Vincent and the Grenadines to capture their second win of the CBC Championship.

Cuba dominated the second half of their game against St. Vincent and the Grenadines to capture their second win of the CBC Championship. The best scorer for the Cubans was William Granda, who scored 19 points. Tomorrow, Cuba will try to keep the unbeaten record, when they face Bahamas.

The second day of the 2014 CBC Championship began with action of group A, when Cuba faced St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The game started with an 14 – 0 run by Cuba, number 13 was the first to score from the free-throw score. St Vincent into an offensive streak, and lowered the Cuban advantage to 4 points, 18 – 14, at the end of the first quarter.

The Cuba advantage continued to decreased during the second quarter, getting as close as two points, 29 -31. The team led by Daniel Scott found the way to maintain the lead on the scoreboard at the end of the first half, Cuba 40 – St. Vincent and the Grenadines 31.

The second half was another story, the Cuban team found its distributed offensive, to start to add to their advantage. The final score was Cuba 86 – St. Vincent and the Grenadines 58. The best scorer for the Cubans was William Granda, who scored 19 points, while for the team of St. Vincent the best scorers were Nyika Williams and John Gardiner, both with 17 points. Tomorrow, Cuba will try to keep the unbeaten record, when they face Bahamas, meanwhile St. Vincent will face Antigua.
