Cuba participates in conference on Latin America in Russia

Moscow, Nov 20 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Ambassador to Russia Julio Garmendia participated in the teleconference ‘Multipolar Alternative for Latin America: Geopolitics, Ideology, Culture,’ diplomatic sources said on Friday.

The forum was held at the headquarters of non-profit organizations in Russia, and was in charge of the coordinating council of that entity, the I.B. Khlebnikov’ Workers’ University, the Russia-Cuba Friendship Society and the International Eurasian Movement.

On his greeting to the conference, the Cuban ambassador stressed the importance of multiplying the spaces for analysis and convergence, of expanding the distribution of quality information and research, adjusted to the truth, with a solid historic foundation. Those actions allow broadening the preparation and mobilization, most of all, of the new generations, the diplomat noted.

Garmendia highlighted the strengthening process, which takes place in the Network of Intellectuals in Defense of Humanity (REDH).

In addition, the official requested the cooperation of all those from Russia who are committed to fair causes, defended by the REDH since its foundation, to achieve the reorganization of these personalities and figures in the Russian Federation and in the world, Garmendia assured.

The event has lasted three hours and interventions were heard from over 10 leading researchers from Russia and Latin American countries.
