Cuba Interactions Fall 2015

Since President Obama’s historic declaration about the changing nature of the U.S. relationship with Cuba, there is no better time to see the current state of affairs in the island nation.

Princeton Journeys is pleased to announce another opportunity to travel to Cuba, a country long off-limits to American travelers, at a time when the island nation is on the edge of historic changes. Although a specific license to travel to Cuba is no longer required, general travel is still prohibited. This tour, a reprise of our classic interactive Journey that we have offered since 2012, is focused on people-to-people exchange. Six nights in Havana will be punctuated by an excursion through the heart of the island, by the Bay of Pigs, to colonial Trinidad and Cienfuegos. Please join your fellow Princetonians from October 31 to November 7, 2015 on an interactive journey to witness the economic, social, and political transformations that are taking place in Cuba.

The Office of Alumni Affairs has certified that each traveler on our programs will have a full-time schedule of educational exchange activities that will result in meaningful interaction between the travelers and individuals in Cuba. So, expect daily opportunities to converse and engage with Cuban people from all walks of life who embody the richness of unique and proud traditions in music, art, culture and history. Engage with leading intellectuals, aspiring entrepreneurs, and up-and-coming artists from acclaimed galleries. Share ideas with representatives from various sectors of Cuban society to gain a deeper understanding of the transitions Cubans are experiencing at this time in history.
