Havana, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban and foreign bands are performing from today to October 5 on stages of this capital, as part of the fourth edition of the Patria Grande Latin American Festival.
Groups such as Salon Victoria (Mexico); Nepentes (Colombia); Pashpak (El Salvador); Fidel Nadal, lead singer of Argentine band ‘Todos tus muertos’, and Zeus, Athanai and Toques del Rio (Cuba), will perform during the festival.
The opening concert is scheduled for today at 20:00 local time, at La Madriguera, with Jorgito Kamankola, while Pashpak and Los Revueltas will perform during the closing concert at Pabellon Cuba, both located in this capital.
As in previous editions, the event will be moved to other provinces of the country, such as Pinar del Rio, Villa Clara and Sancti Spiritus.
The performances will be especially held in the most affected areas by Hurricane Irma.
La Tropical’s Salon Rosado Benny More, the most famous and ‘hard-to-please’ dance floor in Havana, will also host the meeting, organized by the Cuban Ministry of Culture, in coordination with the Cuban Music Institute and other institutions.
Patria Grande is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the fall in combat of Ernesto Che Guevara and the 10 years of the Cuban Rock Agency.
