Havana, Jun 5 (Prensa Latina) The International Conference “New Scenarios of Political Communication in the Digital Sphere-2015” began today here in the presence of official experts and delegates of more than 30 countries from all continents.
The event, convened by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is held at this capital’s Conference Center, in the framework of the process to review the 10 years of the World Summit on Information.
According to organizers, the meeting aims to foster a debate on global cardinal issues, such as the development and use of information and communications technology.
It will also assess its impact on international relations, cybersecurity, internet governance, technology sovereignty of nations, and others.
Official representations from Argentina, Angola, Bahamas, Bolivia, China, Peru, Djibouti, Ecuador, Haiti, Mexico, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Russia, Uruguay, Venezuela and Zambia, will attend the event.
Distinguished personalities of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the International Telecommunication Union will also participate in the official segment of the Conference.
Experts from Brazil, Spain, Canada, China, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, United States, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, India, Palestine, Peru, Vietnam, Syria, Zambia, will also attend the meeting, to be run until June 7.
